Crack the Code Terms and Conditions

  1. Information on how to enter the promotion forms part of the conditions of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed as acceptance of its terms and conditions.
  2. Entry is only open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over (Eligible Participants).
  3. Promotion commences 10:00am 18 March 2026 and closes 11.59pm 27 March 2026 (Promotional Period). Entries received after this closing time will be ineligible for entry.
  4. Conditions of Entry:
    1. To enter, an Eligible Participant must visit crackthecode.grabaseat.co.nz and:
      1. Submit a guess to unlock the suitcase;
      2. Enter the following details:
        1. first and last name
        2. email address
      3. Accept the Promotion Terms & Conditions; and
      4. Click or tap the "Reveal" button on the competition form.
    2. This will give the Eligible Participant one entry into the Daily Spot Prize Draw for that day. Each correct guess of the suitcase code gives the Eligible Participant one entry into the Grand Prize Draw.
  5. Participation in the Promotion is limited to one entry per day, per person.
  6. Air New Zealand (Promoter) employees and their immediate families, participating agents and their associated agencies are ineligible to enter. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries.
  7. In order to claim the Grand Prize the Eligible Participant must be (or must become upon winning) an Air New Zealand Grabaseat, Air New Zealand Airpoints or Air New Zealand member.
  8. Prizes - The prizes consist of the following:
    1. Daily Spot Prize Draw: Ten (10) prizes of $50 off a return domestic flight, operated by Air New Zealand, each day of the Promotion Period.
      1. Promo code is valid on return flights booked between any Air New Zealand serviced domestic airports only.
      2. Promo code is valid for up to 1 x passenger only on the one booking. Any other passengers will need to submit a separate booking.
      3. $50 off promo code is valid on fares $50 and above per one-way journey and is not valid on F, N, I, R and P class fares.
      4. Promo code must be used before: 23:59 30 Jun 2026.
      5. Travel may only be taken between 19 Mar-2 Apr, 20 Apr-3 Jul, 20 Jul-25 Sep & 12 Oct-10 Dec 2026.
      6. The promo code is not redeemable for cash and is only redeemable on Air New Zealand services booked online at grabaseat.co.nz.
      7. The promo code is only valid for one use only.
      8. Promo code may not be used in conjunction with any other promo code.
    2. Grand Prize Draw: One (1) prize of $10,000 worth of Air New Zealand flights booked online directly through Air New Zealand Grabaseat.
      1. The winner of the Grand Prize will receive $10,000 assigned to a reference number and the winner’s surname. Travel must be booked within a year of issue and redeemed online for flight bookings via grabaseat.co.nz.

    Awarding of Prizes:

    1. Daily Spot Prize Draw:
      1. Ten (10) Daily Spot Prizes will be won each day of the Promotional Period.
      2. Daily Spot Prize Draw winners will be randomly generated when submitting a valid entry.
      3. Winners will be notified on screen and will receive a confirmation email to the email address provided on promotion entry. The confirmation email will include all the details of how to claim the prize.
    2. Grand Prize Draw:
      1. The Grand Prize Draw will be drawn on 31 March 2026.
      2. The Grand Prize will be awarded to the Eligible Participant who guessed the exact code to unlock the suitcase. Where more than one Eligible Participant submits the correct code to unlock the suitcase, the winner will be randomly drawn from all Eligible Participant(s) who submitted the correct code.
      3. Where the exact number hasn’t been submitted by an Eligible Participant, the Grand Prize will be awarded to the Eligible Participant who guessed the most correct numbers in the code. Where more than one Eligible Participant guesses the most correct numbers in the code, the winner will be randomly drawn from all Eligible Participant who submitted the most correct numbers in the code.
      4. Attempts will be made to notify the winner by email at the contact email provided on the promotion entry. If the Promoter, having used reasonable efforts, is unable to contact the winner prior to 5:00pm 7 April 2026, then the prize is forfeited and further draw(s) will be conducted. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. The winners are responsible for paying all additional costs associated with the prize that are not specifically included (as stated in clause 8), including (where applicable) transport, meal costs, spending money, insurance and all other incidentals.
  10. The awarding of a prize may be reversed or cancelled by the Promoter if there has been a breach of these terms and conditions by the winner.
  11. The prize cannot be converted into cash and is not transferable.
  12. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.
  13. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize in whole (or any of its components), with a substitute prize of equal or greater value.
  14. All prize travel will be subject to Air New Zealand’s Conditions of Carriage, to view visit https://www.airnewzealand.co.nz/conditions-of-carriage. Prize travel will not be eligible to accrue Airpoints Dollars™ or Status Points and cannot be used in conjunction with Air New Zealand’s Airpoints™ Programme or any other carriers’ frequent flyer schemes.
  15. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or down-loading any materials in this promotion.
  16. Neither the Promoter nor any other person or party associated with this promotion shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in this promotion or with any prizes offered.
  17. The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. Acceptance of the prize is deemed consent for the Promoter to use the winner’s first name and the initial of their surname (e.g. “Mark S.”) for promotional and media purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant. If you are selected as a winner, the Promoter may also publish your first name and the initial of your surname on https://www.grabaseat.co.nz/competition-winners.
